Voice & Exit Teams Up with Peace Through Commerce for Special Event

Peace, freedom, and the end of so-called intractable problems like poverty, inequality, human trafficking… complex? Yes. Impossible? No.

These are the kinds of societal challenges that can’t be solved by writing checks or making single-issue policy decisions. And they are the problems we come together each year to reimagine at Voice & Exit, because we understand that to truly change something, we must build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.

To find the solutions to complex challenges and maximize human flourishing, we know we have to start thinking about teamwork at a much larger scale, and designing new avenues for collective participation.

That’s why we’ve teamed up with Peace Through Commerce for a transformative weekend experience combining the disruptive creativity of Voice & Exit with a model for solving complex, real-world dilemmas.

Peace Through Commerce is a strategic, global and educational nonprofit organization that believes in the power of commerce to create positive social change. PTC engages business leaders, Nobel laureates, activists and policy makers at the highest level, using breakthrough technology and new thinking to solve the world’s most challenging problems.

PTC’s “Matrix of Peace,” an integral model for thinking about global development and peace, introduces frameworks to create long-term, positive social change and prosperity. It identifies the best practices for peacebuilding within and among the key subsystems of commerce, civil society, and law. It is also a visual teaching tool to illustrate how the systems combine to co-produce peace.

PTC has developed and showcased the MOP framework with partners in Conscious Capitalism®, Barrett’s Value System, Spiral DynamicsTM, and — most recently — the Nobel Peace Prize Forum focused on child trafficking. Today, the group is working on the problem of child trafficking by exploring breakthrough solutions.

The Peace Through Commerce + Voice & Exit Bundle

This special pass includes full access to the Voice & Exit conference and festival, and a full day of learning about and applying the Matrix of Peace:

On Friday, November 11, join us Nigerian trafficking survivor Rocky Peter to re-imagine the problem of human trafficking through the lens of the Matrix of Peace Systems Model:

Peace Through Commerce: From Human Trafficking to Human Flourishing
(1 day – $150 value) – November 11, 2016 (9 am – 4:30 pm)
St. Michael’s Episcopal Church – 1500 N. Capital of Texas Hwy Austin, TX.

Then enjoy full access to the Voice & Exit conference and festival.

The Voice & Exit Experience
(2.5 Days, $400 value) – November 11-13, 2016
Fair Market Venue – 1100 E 5th St, Austin, TX 78702

“Sustainable peace is a byproduct of a society whose commercial, civil society and legal subsystems co-operate interdependently and draw upon shared, peace-optimizing values.” — PeaceThroughCommerce.org

Over the weekend you’ll learn new frameworks for approaching systemic social problems — frameworks that you can apply in your life, your career and your communities.

“The spell of nationalism is losing its juju as people become more interconnected.” — Seth Blaustein and Max Borders, Voice & Exit Co-founders

While political candidates hurl salvos of rhetoric and blame, we’ll be assembling teams of entrepreneurs, innovators and organizations committed to tackling global challenges. It all begins November 11-13 in Austin, TX.

The best teams begin with a problem to solve and a diverse set of people who criticize by creating. If you want in on the action of designing better systems of government, innovation, economics, and equality, we hope you’ll join us.

Please Note: Because of the highly participatory nature of this experience, there are only 40 passes available.
